Follow Your Purpose…Not Your Passion

Just like most of my fellow millennials, I was raised in a household that told me to follow my dreams and never settle, where as our forefathers it was go get a job, get married, and start a family.

Us millennials live in this fairytale land so to speak, when reality is the world is much more cruel…especially when we are in an economic unbalance.

Reflecting back on this idea of following my dreams and my passion, I still find myself believing that I can do anything I want…as long as I put my mind to it.  The only caveat I cruel add to following dreams is to find your purpose.

Purpose and passion both start with a P but are two different things.  Once a person makes the choice to open their eyes and receive their purpose, that is when they have achieved the ultimate goal of being a human…to live freely.  Once you discover your purpose, at that point it is time to put in the work so your dream can come true.

There are so many people in this world who are not living the life they want simply because they have not discovered their purpose OR the ignore it.  By not living that purpose out, they work jobs that they hate day in and day out. If you enjoy what you are doing…well its not really work is it?

So dream big and work to find your purpose in life…then capitalize on that.
